Texas SNAP Benefits for July 2026: Your Payment Schedule Guide

Jorge Garcia
Published Jul 13, 2026

If you receive SNAP benefits in Texas, your July 2026 payment will arrive on a specific date based on your household's information. Texas doesn't send all payments at once. Instead, the state spreads them out throughout the month.

Your benefits are loaded onto your Lone Star Card, which works just like a debit card at grocery stores and other approved food retailers.

What Determines Your Payment Date?

Your payment date depends on two things:

  1. When your household was approved for SNAP (your certification date)
  2. Your EDG number (Eligibility Determination Group number)

You can find your EDG number on official letters from Texas, including your benefits award letter.
