The Texas Health and Human Services Department has released the schedule for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for March 2026.

These benefits, commonly known as food stamps, help families buy healthy food and improve their overall nutrition.

If your household was approved for benefits after June 2020, your payment will be deposited into your account between March 16 and March 28.

When will I receive my benefits?

Income Limits for 2026

To qualify for SNAP, your household’s monthly income must be below a certain limit. For 2026, those limits include:

  • Single person: Maximum of $2,152 per month.
  • Family of four: Maximum of $4,421 per month.

Work Requirements

There are specific rules for adults aged 18 to 64 who do not have children living at home. To keep receiving benefits:

  1. You must work or participate in a job training program for at least 20 hours per week.
  2. If you do not meet these work requirements, you can generally only receive food assistance for three months within a three-year period.

By following these guidelines and knowing your deposit date, you can better plan your grocery shopping and household budget for the month.
